Air Tightness Test in HDPE Extrusion Blow Molding

In plastic packaging, air tightness is a critical quality standard, especially for pharmaceutical, supplement, and food applications.

🏭 How the Air Tightness Test Works

During production, each bottle undergoes this test using an automated robotic system:

  • Mechanical Arm Grip

A robotic arm securely grips and seals the bottle neck to simulate the final capping condition.

  • Air Injection

Compressed air is injected into the bottle at a controlled pressure level.

  • Leak Detection

Sensors monitor any pressure drop or air escape. If pressure remains stable, the bottle passes; if not, it is automatically rejected.

This test ensures each bottle meets required sealing standards before it leaves the production line.

🏆 What Sets Mingda Apart

Not all factories perform airtight testing for every bottle. At Mingda, we include it in our standard quality control workflow, especially for critical-use packaging like small travel pill containers, Protein powder jars, and pharmaceutical packaging.
