PET bottles and PET bottles have some differences in heat resistance, as follows:
Normal service temperature
PET bottle: The normal use temperature is generally below 60 ° C, and it can be used for a short time at about 65 ° C.
RPET bottles: there is usually no clear requirement for a lower normal use temperature than PET bottles, but due to factors such as recycled raw materials and production processes, its use below 60 ° C can better ensure stable performance, and an environment close to 60 ° C for a long time may have a more obvious impact on its performance than PET bottles.
High temperature tolerance performance
PET bottle: More than 70℃ may become soft, deformation. In general, the thermal deformation temperature of PET bottles is between 120 ° C and 230 ° C.
RPET bottles: If the recycling process and quality control is good, RPET bottles can withstand high temperatures of 120℃-140℃. However, if the quality of the recycled raw materials is poor or the production process is poor, the RPET bottle may appear more obvious softening and deformation at slightly higher than 70 ° C.
Heat stability
PET bottle: PET bottle heat stability is relatively good, in the normal use temperature range, its performance changes little, placed in the high-temperature environment within the range for a short time, can still basically maintain the original performance after restoring normal temperature.
RPET bottle: Its heat stability may be slightly poor, in a high temperature environment may be more prone to performance fluctuations, such as strength reduction, transparency reduction, etc., and after returning to room temperature again, the degree of performance recovery may not be as good as PET bottle
What is the difference in heat resistance between RPET bottles and PET bottles?
