Extrusion blow molding is the most commonly used method for manufacturing HDPE pharmaceutical bottles, especially for standard sizes from 50ml to 1000ml. This technique is ideal for high-volume production where consistency and cost control are critical.
🔧 Key Process Steps:
- Raw Material Drying: Moisture is removed from HDPE pellets (dew point ≤ -40°C)
- Melting & Extrusion: Material is melted at 180–220°C and formed into a parison
- Blow Molding: Compressed air (0.6–1.2MPa) expands the parison inside the mold
- Cooling & Shaping: The mold is maintained at 10–25°C to shape the bottle quickly
- Trimming & Demolding: The Final product is cut and ejected automatically.
✅ Advantages:
Used for producing HDPE pharmaceutical bottles at scale
Efficient, low-cost, and widely applicable
Great for dietary supplement packaging and standard drug bottles.
