After adding a certain proportion of recycled materials, will there be a difference in appearance

colour
Color change: pure HDPE new material usually has a uniform, pure color, high color brightness. Due to the complex source of recycled materials, they may have experienced different use environments and treatment processes, which will lead to darker and darker colors, and may appear yellow and gray. Even by adding color masterbatch and other ways to color, it is difficult to achieve the color and brightness of pure new materials. For example, in the production of white or light-colored HDPE pipes, the white of the pipes may become imppure after the addition of recycled materials, showing a beige or off-white.
Color uniformity: Recycled materials in the recycling process, may be due to different batches, different sources of materials mixed uneven, resulting in poor product color uniformity. Patches or streaks of different shades of color may appear on the surface of the product, affecting the overall beauty. For example, in HDPE injection molded products, you may see obvious color difference areas on the surface.
glossiness
Overall gloss decline: The surface of products made of pure HDPE new materials usually has a good gloss and looks smooth and bright. After the addition of recycled materials, the gloss of the product will be significantly reduced, and the surface will appear relatively dim. This is because the molecular structure of the recycled material has changed, and the surface smoothness and optical properties are affected. For example, the surface gloss of the plastic drum produced by HDPE new material is high, and the surface gloss of the plastic drum after adding recycled material is obviously insufficient, and it is relatively rough.
Uneven luster: Because there may be impurities in the recycled material, particles with different degrees of aging, etc., these factors will lead to uneven gloss on the surface of the product during processing. Some areas may have a relatively good gloss, while some areas have a poor gloss, so that the surface of the product appears to have a significant gloss difference.
Surface texture
Flatness: During the processing of recycled materials, the fluidity and molding performance may be different from that of new materials, which can easily lead to defects such as uneven, pitted, and bubbles on the surface of products. These defects will reduce the surface smoothness of the product, affecting the touch and visual effect. For example, in HDPE extrusion sheets, small bumps or potholes may appear on the surface of the sheets after the addition of recycled materials.
Cleanliness: Recycled materials may be mixed with dust, impurities, etc., during the recovery process, these impurities are difficult to completely remove in the processing process, which will form stains and impurity points on the surface of the product, reducing the surface cleanliness. For example, in HDPE blow molded film products, you may see small black spots or other impurity particles on the surface of the film.
